Automatics Lab of IPN has a multidisciplinary team, capable of providing complementary competences, undertaking RTD, innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer activities in the fields of Digital Transformation of Health and Care; Continuum of Care; Healthy living and working environments, and the development, validation, business and regulatory support of solutions for :
1. Telemedicine focused in tele-operation, co-manipulation of medical robot solutions and
2. Cognitive and/or Physical Tele-rehabilitation solution that involves cutting-edge technologies e.g: Edge AI; Artificial Agents; Robotics; Internet of Bodies; Secured Medical Devices, Cybersecurity and embbeded systems.

The key activities and role of LAS in projects are:
– Development of proof of concept and MVP (minimum viable product), including systems design, Architecture and application development
– Early-stage health technology assessment, validating the high-value care of innovation and
– Impact and innovation support (ecosystem management, broker, DIH for health)
– Regulatory pathway for medical devices
